Friday!

Is it really Friday? I thought Wednesday was Thursday all day long.
I thought yesterday was Friday all day long.
I just really wanted the end of this week to be here.

1.
Our house hunt is finally on for real. As in, working with a realtor to find our home. Once we realized how much our rent is going up to and how much it will be if we live in any other apartment even close to Nashville, we decided it's pointless not to go ahead and get something that will at least do some good for us, too. It helps that the realtor is a friend and knows what he's looking for. I'm just going to leave these hardwood floors riiiight here....

2.
Downloaded Periscope this week. Since doing so, I have watched a kitten in Germany, been taken on a tour in Hawaii, and watched John Mayer play fetch with his dog.

3.
I'm in Season 6 of One Tree Hill - why did no one warn me about the feels?! Seriously.

4.
We had VBS this week which was exhausting to say the least. It was a whole lot of fun, though, so it was 100% worth it.  Jackson was in all of the skits which totally put him in his element. It was great.

5.
My allergies are kicking butt today. Thanks, Nashville. Thanks.

Here's to another weekend full of plans and no sleep. Praying for a tiny nap here sometime soon.

Friday!!

Our week has been a little bit of a roller coaster! Parts of it have been really awesome, parts of it have really not been awesome. Jackson's been in Memphis for work, so I've been a little antsy and missing him.  But hey, that's life, right? So at the risk of sounding too "TGIF"-ish, here are the best parts of our week!
1.
We got to spend quality time with our sister-in-love, Jackson's parents, and this sweet gal.
2.
We scored $35 in free groceries for using our credit card for rewards!
3.
It snowed. Again. But we got some pretty adorable visitors. Well, what I assume were adorable visitors. All they left were these raccoon-y footprints.

4.
While at Dad's this week, I found my label maker in my sister's room. Win. Everything may now have been labeled in our home thanks to my snow day off.
5.
I say I should have a day off of work every week. All of the laundry is done, meals are planned for two weeks, the bathroom sparkles, the kitchen smells like lemony heaven, and I watched all of the Harry Potters... again...! :)

Friday!

Our week has been less than eventful.
Being iced in for two days straight didn't help anything.
But hey, there were enough perks to make a well-rounded week
1.
As mentioned, I may have done a lot of online shopping while cooped up.
1-5 were ThredUP gold; 6 and 7 were Target finds!!
2.
A little Baby Step 1 and 2 win: After using our tax return to pay a huge chunk of Jackson's tools, We paid off the credit card and were finally able to sock back some money for our savings!! There's no better feeling than seeing more than $26 in your savings account.
3.
My most favorite part of this week was getting to spend some quality time with my groom.  He took Monday and Tuesday and we stayed home, watched movies, and had fun. It was good for our marriag to have a staycation away from the busy work week

4.
I've been making an effort to meet some new bloggers lately. I love networking and have found some great blogs recently. Check out the "Blogs I Love" for updates!
5.
Can we talk about How to get Away With Murder? It's like my blood pressure is sky high through the whole episode. If you haven't watched it, you're missing out.

Friday!

1.
This week, I ordered our 2014 book from Shutterfly. I love recapping our year in book form.  From here on out, I will probably do chunks of years in each book or else we'll have one book per year, plus baby books, plus wedding and honeymoon books and not enough shelves to hold them all.  It's an obsession.  I just love Shutterfly in general.  I had 30 free 4x6 prints - hello new recipe cards (they're easier to write on with the matte finish)!

2.
I finally buckled down and bought some new jeans from ThredUP.  I hate paying more than $15 for a pair of jeans, but I was in a pickle because my favorite jeans were starting to show signs of rippage to come!!   I bought a really cute Ann Taylor T-shirt to go with them! ;)
3.
I am loving my job more than ever. Since my promotion, I do work that matters, work that is intriguing, and more work in one day than I used to do in a month. I am so thankful that I'm gaining experience and that my new daily set of tasks doesn't leave me wanting to sleep out of boredom.

4.
I got to finally break out my ear warmers!! It hasn't been cold enough to wear it until now! It just so happened that I had the perfect scarf to go with it!

5.
I may or may not have taken the huge plunge and made a bigger commitment than I'm ready for. I ordered business cards for my embroidery side of life.  I also may or may not have set up a website for all of my work

Friday!

Happy first Friday of 2015!!

I did a quick recap of what we were getting everyone for Christmas, but haven't gotten around to doing a haul. Honestly, I probably won't because Christmas isn't about the awesome things we get, it's about family and giving and celebrating our Savior.

Instead of doing a whole big post about it, here are my five most favorite things we got for Christmas! We were so richly blessed by our families!!

1.
Only the best thing to ever happen to our bed... this mattress pad was like getting a brand new mattress.  We sleep without tossing and turning, now!

2.
I got all of the seasons of Greek on DVD, and Jackson got the box set of Sons of Anarchy!

3.
My long coveted Laundry sign from World Market! I can't wait to hang it in the Laundry closet for clothes that need to hang to dry, Jackson's work pants, etc.

4.
My remote to my new car stopped working without warning a few weeks ago.  They're ridiculously expensive, so I asked for one for Christmas. My sister found a website that has them for a fraction of the price! Funny story, we had it cut and it doesn't turn, so we have to buy another one, but it was definitely one of my favorite gifts.

5.
One of my favorite movies is Somewhere in Time.  Its theme is the one I walked down the aisle to.  It is one of Dad's all time favorites, too.  I didn't have my own copy and really really wanted one, so my sweet brother-in-law and sister-in-law bought one for me for Christmas!!

I have loved reading your Christmas recaps!!

Friday!!

I am so thankful today is Friday!! I hope you have all had a wonderful week, and an even better weekend ahead!!

1.
My brother in law and his wife finally announced that they eloped this week! Remember the secret I had back in July?! Whoop! There it is! They eloped back in July and have been waiting on rings to take pictures to announce it. haha.  We are excited to welcome her to our family, and even more excited to have them home for Christmas!

2.
We have had a rainy week in Nashville, but that's okay because with rain comes rainbows! This one ended on the runway at the airport, and I saw a plane go right through it.  Craziest, weirdest, coolest thing I've ever seen!

3.
I get to spend time with my daddy tomorrow!! Jackson is going to the duck blind to do some work, so I'm taking the free time to go hang with my dad!

4.
I made the cutest leaves for garland for Friendsgiving! I made them with a clear vinyl pocket so we can put our "What I'm Thankful For"s in the inside!!

5.
Yesterday, I went out to start my car and it just would not start.  Come to find out, I had a dead battery.  Probably because I've had the same battery since I bought the car.... $200 and lots of crocodile tears later, I got to spend some quality time with my sweet husband.

Friday!

1.
I got these awesome boots for $11.24 from JustFab.com.  I have been looking for a cute pair of wide calf boots that didn't cost over $40 for forever. Win!

2.
I updated our chalkboard wall this week for football season. I'm not going to lie, I squealed and took a screenshot when the Tennessee Titans Instagram liked my picture. ;)

3.
My sweet baby sister felt like I was competent enough to help her with her resume and cover letter for an internship application.  Not to toot my own horn, but I'm resume champ. Love her! (Ignore the mushy mush in the green. ;) )

4.
One of the three musketeers (the one on the right) is moving to Texas in October.  I cry everytime I think about it, but I am taking it as a chance to throw a party for her.  I love throwing parties, and this is the perfect excuse!

 5.
This handsome man's birthday is tomorrow.  This is the tenth birthday we have spent together, and every year I love him more and more.  I have planned breakfast in bed, helping dad capture and take kittens to the humane society (that one has no significance to his birthday, I just promised Dad. haha), maybe some exploring, presents, and then dinner at the cheesecake factory (where he has never been?!)!
