Weekending

Good Monday morning, friends.  It's cold and rainy here in Nashville today, so it was extra difficult to get out of bed this morning.

Our weekend was the bomb dot com. Too bad I don't have many pictures.

Friday night, we cut the seeds out of our little decoration pumpkins. They're still sitting uncooked on a baking sheet.  Whoops.  We ran and grabbed Zaxby's for dinner because the can-opener broke earlier in the week and I couldn't open the cans I needed to make dinner.  Double Whoops. We came home and caught up on Code Black and had a restful night in.

Saturday, Jackson went with Heath up to Gainesboro to visit the youth that were on a retreat.  They had a great time full of sweetheart kickball, wink, and football.  I went to Dad's and had some deep couch sitting all day long.  Boomer isn't doing too hot lately, so I hung with him most of the day.

Funny story - all Jackson wants for Christmas is an Xbox One.  His 360 is d-e-a-d dead. Way dead.  So I told him any Christmas money he gets we can use to buy one. Jackson's brother (who recently started working at GameStop again) called me to inform me that they had a rockin' deal right now that blows black Friday deals out of the park and would save us almost $200 not counting his trade-ins.  So we packed everything up and took it across town to trade it in.  They gave us $77 for everything (including games, all of my Disney infinity characters, his xbox and controllers). All in all, it only cost right over $200, so we went ahead with the promise that any Christmas money pays it off.

After GameStop, we went to Tom & Chee which always has the best grilled cheeses ever. Ever. Then we went grocery shopping and home to rest.

Sunday was busy busy for us.  We went to church, grabbed oil and a filter for my car (on a gift card! What up free oil change!) and then to Lifegroup.  Then we went home, watched the Titans win, changed my oil, and then rested for 2.5 seconds before going back across town for a fire.

I hope all of your weekends were wonderful and full of life!! Let's kick this week in the rear!

Weekending

Our weekend was jam packed, but what's new for us?
Friday night, we ate dinner and our best friends came over and we went to Steak&Shake. Chocolate milkshake and french fries, please and thanks.  :) We came home and I fell asleep (oops) and woke up and we all piled in our bed to sleep.
Saturday morning, we all ventured across the intersection to Dunkin and came back for some bestie bonding time. Jackson left to go sport shooting with some friends. I got up, ran to the grocery, came home, booked the cabin for Hamlin's bachelorette party in March, and hung our gallery wall.
We had our annual hayride Saturday night. It has for sure fizzled since I started going six years ago. The teens are too cool for it and the littles are too scared for it.
Sunday, I went to see Hamlin's new house and we went to pick out bridesmaids dresses.
We found a really pretty one that will (hopefully) flatter everyone.

Sunday night, we stayed out and watched Hocus Pocus with some friends and came home and went to bed. Here's to my last Monday off of work and having nothing planned. I hope your weekends were just as great!

Weekending!

Happy Monday morning, friends!

As you read this, I'm still snoozing because having Mondays off work means no alarm. (insert praise hands here).

Friday, I worked like normal.  Note: When someone asks you if you want to go to a Train concert because they were given tickets? you accept gladly. Friday night I got to see Train, the Fray, and Matt Nathanson do their thing! It was a great concert!

Saturday, we awoke rather early to head to the church to set up for vacation bible school.  It was a day of skits, decorations, and cutting out lesson plans and buletin board letters. Saturday evening, we joined my parents and sister (who is finally back from her London adventure) for a Mexican date. My best friend and her husband needed to come do laundry, so while they did, we played games. There's a reason this was so funny.

Sunday, we had church, lunch, and two minutes to breathe before we were back to church for Vacation Bible School.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!

Rainy Days and Mondays

Our weekend was so busy. Like, it's Monday and my head is on my desk because I'm in a state of exhaustion I've never been in before. I think.

Friday, we worked and came home to a date night. Penn Station and a little Breaking Bad... great date night if I do say so myself.

Saturday, I spent my day at my Daddy's house playing with all of my pets that I left behind.

Meanwhile, Jackson was sitting in a field with a gun doing what he loves to do.

Saturday evening, we had a date with one of my best friends from high school at Rosepepper.

Sunday, we churched, we ate, we grocery shopped, we ate some more, we watched the Golden Globes, and we slept. Now it is Monday, it's raining, and I feel like everyone is ready to rip everyone's head off.  Welcome back, eh?

Weekend Update!

Happy Tuesday! I feel like it has been forever since I blogged or talked to anyone. Thank heavens for long weekends.

Friday, I worked and then came home. I didn't do much Friday night except for rest.  It was much needed.  I worked on one of the three polos I'm embroidering for the pre-school at church.
Jackson went to the church lockin with the mindset that he was not staying all night. 6AM when he was crawling into bed.....

Saturday, I woke up early to go with my parents to move my sister into her dorm in Chattanooga.  I sent pictures to Jackson all day to make sure he was included in the fun of the coffee, carsickness, campus and lunch.

Sunday was my daddy's birthday. We went to lunch at Cracker Barrel where I beat this guy at Checkers.  okay, I'm lying. I hadn't played checkers in ages, so we had a lot of fun. :)

and last but not least... I had my interview yesterday. It was great.  I was interviewed by three ladies who all said they were impressed that I was so calm in my interview.  She said she could tell I was a people person and that I was confident.  phew! I'm glad that anticipation is over... now to wait to hear back!

I'm catching up on all of your weekend happenings, and I hope you're having a great week so far! We're past Monday, and that counts for something, right!?

Weekend Update!

Oh how full our weekend was! Full of life, love, friends, family, and fun. :)

Friday
I worked all day and ended up leaving early because no one was here.  Plus, I got here super early, so I wasn't ready to stay over.  Jackson had to work until 7, so I went to hang out with my dad. He had dental surgery last week, so I was glad to go and just keep him company.  Friday night, Jackson and I went to dinner with plans of going grocery shopping afterward.  During dinner, I could not remember if I had turned off the coffee pot at the end of work.  It was driving me insane; I lost my apetite and got really really nervous.  So, we drove all the way to my office so I could turn it off, then went to the grocery.

Saturday
We woke up early to go to breakfast with his best man, Byron, and Byron's new girlfriend, Maggie.  We went for breakfast at the Pfunky Griddle. You get to make your own pancakes with fun toppings! Your table is a griddle!! It was so much fun and we loved getting to know Maggie!
Then, we went to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens to see the Big Bug exhibit and the Andy Warhol art they have going on right now.  It was hot but so much fun!

After we saw the Big Bugs, we went to lunch with them!! They are such a great couple!!

That evening, we went with my parents and Nana to see Jersey Boys!! We're huge fans of the play, so it only made sense to go see the movie.
It is incredible.  It's the exact story of my BFF Frankie Valli, and I loved every minute of it.  I may or may not have been caught singing in the theater. oops.

Sunday
We got up and went to church and heard a wonderful message from the Nashville Inner City Ministries.  I am so on fire for this ministry and can't wait to get involved!!
We did lunch with Jackson's parents and came home to cleancleanclean!! I didn't get much done last week becakse of VBS, so we were playing catch up!!
We went to Heath&LouEllen's last night and went out for pizza in Five Points! We love that area of town!!
We came home, crashed, and had to wake up early this morning because we're sharing the truck until my car is fixed.
Sigh.

I hope you all had wonderful weekends, and I can't wait to read about them!!

Fridays and Weddings!

This week has been exceptional. Busy, overwhelming, but exceptional.

1.
I scored this adorable skirt and this awesome tripod for our new camera on Groopdealz.

2.
Jackson was able to sell his toolbox!! Mind you, the guy pretty much stole it from him, but hey, we needed it gone and he needed a toolbox. Now we can pay off two whole debts and focus only on his huge tool bill and school debt!! Yay for making grown up decisions!!

 3.
My best friend from high school came over to our apartment on Monday night for dinner. She just graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and was home for Mother's Day weekend. I am so glad that we have stayed friends for almost ten years!
(2004//2014)

 4.
I found the perfect planner for our lives right now on Etsy. It's got seven sections so you can plan for you, hubs, kids, chores, outfits, dinners, etc. They have great student planners that break things down by class instead of by family member. There are also teacher planning books. Awesome shop, in my opinion.

 5.
Tonight, we're celebrating the marriage of my best friend, Brittney. She is getting married tomorrow, and tonight is her rehearsal. I'm so excited for she and Jared!!

Bachelorette Party // Mother's Day Weekend

Hi friends.

Sorry I missed you all Friday. I was totally consumed with the stress of planning a bachelorette party, Mother's Day, etc. haha. :) The party went off without a hitch. Well, except for the awful cake plan falling through. It's okay... I improvised.

 Enjoy the appropriate photos:

Saturday, Jackson and I spent the day with our parents. He went to hang out with his dad, as did I.

Sunday was Mother's Day (also known as my least favorite holiday ever.. more on that later this week), so we spent the day hanging out with Jackson's mommy. We had lunch at Cracker Barrel, gave her her gift, and came home to nap the rest of the day away.
