Life Lately

I feel like I'm still writing more of these "catch up" posts than sharing life in real-time.  I do apologize for that.  I am keeping up with all of you, though!! Promise.   In case you missed it, we grew our family by four claws  paws. Luna has become a spoiled mess. We have arms full of scratches, a baby gate in the kitchen, and a new found mandate for keeping things off of the floor. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

 

  We are back on our four 10 hour days summer schedule for work and I have Mondays off again.  By Friday afternoon, I'm dragging.   On a much lower note, we lost one of my best friends last Friday.  Frank was seventeen years old, but that doesn't make it any easier.  He was well loved.

  We looked at a house we loved down the street from my parents.  Inspections showed it had mold, so that was a big ole waste of time. They ended up finding a sucker a week later and selling it for almost double what it was worth. So we are looking at apartments for October with no luck.  It's almost completely impossible to find anything in Nashville on a small-ish budget. And then you get sick because you realize you're paying twice what a mortgage would be and have nothing to show for it. Adulting is hard.   Earlier this week I took a field trip... literally a trip into the field to hang with some of our clients for the day.  We took them to the park to walk and came upon this deer... and proceeded to feed it saltine crackers.

  I've been a grown up and gotten myself a primary care doctor. Mostly because I was tired of paying $75 copays for urgent care and walk in clinics. Nothing new, except for the whole fainting when they take my blood nonsense. That was fun... not.   Jackson's brother is home and out of the Navy for good!   Other than that, there's work, church, home, One Tree Hill, sleep, and that's all. Your lives have been much more interesting lately. haha. :)
