Our First Week With Luna

Remember when I posted about trying to get Jackson to let us keep that kitten?
well, he said yes, and we went to get the little 8-week ball of fluff on Sunday.

How did she get her name, you ask? We may or may not be Harry Potter dorks and named her after the one and only Luna Lovegood.

Sunday night was miserable.  She cried and screamed and wailed all night long.  It broke my heart because I knew we had taken her from everything she knew and she missed her mama and brothers.
She came home, wedged herself under the bathroom counter, and would not stop hissing.
I finally got her to sleep which was good... until Jackson got home from church, and she was back to hissing again.

Monday was hard, too.  I came home from work to check on her during lunch and she was baracaded under the bar cart. She wanted nothing to do with me.

She is now a completely different cat who cuddles and plays and doesn't cry. She loves her fish wand (that we taped to the table so she can play by herself), an old empty Kroger hand-basket, playing in her litter, and climbing her tower. We'll have a fat house cat in no time.

I am completely in awe of the patience I have learned from her, and the love I've found for something so small.
