XO VoxBox

This VoxBox has been one of my favorites so far!
I got lots of awesome stuff!!

The first thing I used were my Tide Pods with Febreeze.  I used them in Jackson's work clothes and they smelled heavenly. Seriously. For it to take on that level of yuck, they had to work hard.

The Skinfix Hand Repair Cream was probably my least favorite thing in the box.  It made my hands greasy and slick. I ended up using it on my feet (!?) because they're jank this winter. It worked wonders on them.

I hated that I couldn't use the Colgate Optic White Express White Toothpaste. I have to use Sensodyne toothpaste because of my super granny sensitive teeth

The Frizz Ease Shampoo, Conditioner, and Primer  worked like a charm. My hair is so dry and dead during the winter and is a frizz nightmare. They made my hair manageable. I may or may not have gone and bought the full size ones! ;)  After getting my hair cut, though, I had to pull back to using them once every other wash because my hair was getting too oily too quickly.

I used the AdoreMe coupon for Valentines Day. I, however, didn't read the fine print and got charged at the first of the month. womp. I'll definitely be more aware going forward. I loved what I got, though. :)

#DLVoxBox

I was chosen to receive the Dean's List VoxBox!
I was so excited when I opened it and found some awesome goodies!!

First, my favorite of all of them: the Softlips Cube.
Holy chapstick batman.
I have always loved the Softlips brand, but I loved my eos for the shape!
Worlds collided and Boom! I have the best of both.

My second favorite was the wonderful pens.
The Pilot FriXion Clicker pens are the best eraseable pen I have ever used! You know how the stick pens don't really erase? These do! And they don't leave the nasty eraser gunk everywhere!

The Sinful Colors - No-Text-Red was a huge surprise for me! I usually don't go for reds and bright pinks, but this one was the perfect red! It lasted with no chips for four days!  Now if I was only good at painting my nails period...

The airhead's bites were like teeny tiny airheads! I'd be lying if I said I didn't eat them all in one sitting.

The Covergirl Ready, Set, Go Liquid Foundation was not my favorite.  It was thick and sticky.  It left my face feeling heavy all day long.  It was great at covering my huge pores, though, and the color matched perfectly! Mine is the 115; it was much like the color of the Almay one I use.  :)

I tested out the Kiss® Looks So Natural Lashes for a wedding we are going to this weekend! I usually don't go for faux lashes, but these were awesome.  They stayed forever.  I usually have an issue with them making my already thick eyelashes look like one dark mess of eyelashes.  I didn't really have this problem with these; they added more length than thickness which was a plus!

Wedding Wednesday: Bloominous

After getting married in February, I know how easy it is to get carried away with a budget.  I spent hours looking for places we could make cuts so that we could spend the money elsewhere.  One place I was able to cut a lot of our money was our flowers! I went to every Joann's in Nashville and bought every light pink Peony, rose, and white garnish they had in stock to make seven bridesmaids' bouquets, my bouquet, mothers' and grandmothers' bouquets, and eleven boutonnieres.

My favorite part: I got to arrange them how I wanted and I saved a ton of money
My least favorite part: they were artificial.

Could anyone tell? No.
Could I tell? Yes.

Did you know there is a typical 300% markup on flowers when you use a florist? Did you also know that the flowers are often frozen and thawed when they come to you?

I stumbled upon an amazing company that I wish I had known about in February.
Insert Bloominous!

This awesome company has a variety of flowers for every bride.  They send cut-to-order flowers to you along with everything you need to assemble them. The DIY kits also come with an arrangement guide in case you don't know anything about flower arrangement!!

My personal favorite is their Party Pop Collection! These would have fit our wedding beautifully!!

By cutting out that middle man (without cutting out the florist experience), you save oodles and kaboodles!! You pay $5 for boutonnieres, and $40 for bridesmaids' bouquets!

Brides! Take the guesswork out of the floral side of your plans. Visit Bloominous and explore their options!! They're bound to have something that fits your wedding style and saves you money! Who wouldn't want a little change to spend on their honeymoon!?

What a Weekend!

Since Mondays are somewhat rolled into my weekend, it is close to impossible to make a "Weekend Recap" post happen on Mondays.

So. Over the weekend here's what happened:

Friday afternoon and Saturday, I spent time with my dad! I missed that geezer more than anything.  Jackson worked more on my car all Saturday and we ran into a snag - one of my really important parts, my valve cover, was warped.  So that put us at a stand still.

So instead of him working into the wee hours of the evening, we enjoyed dinner with his parents, snuggles with Penny, and a video chat with his brother who is stationed with the Navy in Hawaii.

Sunday, after church, we went to Pull-A-Part.  It's literally a junk yard full of cars, and you go in, pull the pieces you need, and pay per piece.  We got the piece for whichwe were going to pay $375 for a whopping $15! score. Jackson worked on my car for a bit, and then we headed to Taco Bell and the grocery store.  Am I the only one loving those Quesaritos?!

Monday, I had a lengthy list of to-dos.  I did all of our laundry, cleaned a lot, monogrammed blanket for an upcoming baby shower, watched Harry Potter, and enjoyed quiet time.  I was really proud at how well the blanket turned out! I had never tried applique before! Yes, those are old Thirty-One consultant swatches! ;)

I hope your weekends were much more eventful than mine, and I look foward to reading about them!

Last thing, check out my eBay Guide I wrote about how to sell things that are cluttering your life!

Man Crates

In my experience with gift-giving, men are the most difficult people to shop for. Dad has everything, Hubs doesn't know what he wants. Neckties are overdone, paperweights for his desk collect dust.

Insert Man Crates.

Man Crates are literally crates full of man things. They have crates for most types of guys - the gamer, the beer connoisseur, the grill master, and more! There is even a Bacon Crate! Who doesn't love bacon??! My favorite part is that it literally arrives in a crate! We all know Dad/Hubs/Brother never looks at the bag or wrapping paper or tissue paper or bows, so why waste them?

If I had to create a Chrissy-Tailored Survival Kit, I'd fill it with goodies to get me through my days!

My iPhone and anything to go with it / for it would have to be number 1! I store pictures, music, and my calendar on my phone! Naturally, it has an Otterbox on it, and I have multiple chargers!

My Camelbak is an essential part of every single day! I drink close to 96oz of water a day, all because of this little bottle! Mine has a monogram, so I know it's mine.  I wouldn't mind, at all, having more than my one, though, so I can have them at work, home, church, etc.

My planner is this planner from Plum Paper Designs! I love having things like post-it notes, flags, etc. to keep me organized.  I carry my planner EVERYWHERE I go. Just in case. ;)

Lipsick and chapstick are must haves for me! My lips are always either chapped or sunburned; there's never an in between for me! I have them laying everywhere and I use them all!

Coffee. I doubt I have to explain this to many, but coffee is my rescue in the morning, in the afternoon, sometimes in the middle of the evening.

If you had to create a survival kit of 4-5 items, what would you pick? Be creative!!
